New Rave

New Rave burst onto the scene in the early 2000s, particularly in the UK, when one could almost hear the collective noise of club-goers armed with glowsticks and neon outfits. It’s a mash-up of electronic beats and a dash of punk attitude, resulting in a sound that makes you feel like you’re simultaneously at a festival and an explosion of fluorescent colours. With its brief moment in the limelight, it became a playful reminder that, at least for a while, hardly anyone took themselves too seriously whilst raving away on a Saturday night.
