Mod Revival

Mod Revival sprang to life in late 1970s Britain, when a gaggle of sharp-suited youths decided that flares were so last decade and scooters were the ultimate mode of stylish transport. The sound, a cheeky blend of garage rock, punk energy, and a sprinkle of soul, is like riding down the street while wearing a parka, all jangly guitars and snappy rhythms. Ironically, whilst these lads were reviving a 1960s subculture, they ended up creating their own homage, proving that nostalgia is best served with a side of cheeky swagger.
