Live Performance

Live performance music is the art of musicians playing in front of an audience, gaining popularity with the rise of public concerts in the 18th century, although let’s not forget the Greeks had a bit of a head start with their amphitheatres. The sound varies widely, from raucous rock to soul-soothing classical, but one constant is the occasional miscommunication between artists and sound engineers, leading to rather spectacularly awkward moments on stage. It's a vibrant mix where even the best-laid plans can go awry, much to the delight of those in attendance, who often think they'd rather see a band forget the lyrics than perform an impeccably rehearsed set.
