Latin Pop

Latin Pop burst onto the scene in the 1990s, combining catchy melodies with infectious rhythms, and most notably turning 20-something club goers into accidental dance enthusiasts. Characterised by vibrant beats, enthusiastic brass sections, and melodies that stick like glue, it’s the kind of music that could make a statue do the salsa if you give it half a chance. Of course, its crossover success has made dance floors in the UK inadvertently more multicultural, leaving many wondering why they suddenly want a sidestep to the left in a pub full of confused onlookers.
