Experimental Techno
Experimental Techno surfaced in the late 1980s, primarily in Berlin, when DJs decided that a four-to-the-floor beat wasn't quite eccentric enough and began to push boundaries with a computer and a fair amount of caffeine. Characterised by its avant-garde soundscapes, erratic rhythms, and the seemingly endless pursuit of the 'perfect' glitch, it often feels like the soundtrack to a highly imaginative robot's existential crisis. Some say the genre's unpredictability is its charm, inviting listeners to embrace the chaos while secretly wishing for the return of a simple melody.
