Eurodisco
Eurodisco emerged in the late 1970s and early 1980s in Europe, primarily from the dance music scenes in Germany and Italy; it was basically disco for those who thought a synthesiser was the answer to everything. Characterised by catchy melodies, soaring choruses, and enough sequencers to make a computer programmer weep, it’s the soundtrack to countless questionable dance moves at parties. Eurodisco may not win any awards for musical depth, but it certainly knows how to get people moving and reminiscing about their slightly embarrassing holiday romances.
