Deep Techno

Deep Techno emerged in the 1990s as a slightly cheekier cousin of techno, taking its cues from Detroit but adding a touch of Berlin's bare-bones cool. It’s characterised by hypnotic rhythms and lush, enveloping sounds, creating the sort of atmosphere that could convince you to dance all night or engage in a spirited debate with a potted plant. If you listen long enough, you might even find yourself pondering the meaning of life whilst nodding away like a bemused owl in a darkened club.
