Country Folk

Country Folk emerged in the American South during the 1920s, when folks decided that sharing their woes about lost loves and bad luck would be much more fun with a banjo and an acoustic guitar. It's characterised by heartfelt lyrics that sound like they were written after a few too many pints, often accompanied by melodies that could charm the very boots off a cowpoke. With its origins in storytelling traditions, Country Folk proves that, occasionally, the best way to tackle life's troubles is with a catchy tune and a twangy accent.
