Church Music
Church music, which can be traced back to the early Christian communities, has been lifting spirits since at least the 4th century, when they realised singing in harmony might distract from the sermon. It's often marked by organ-led anthems, hymns with somewhat questionable key changes, and choir performances that make you wonder if staring at hymnals counts as physical exercise. Surprisingly, this genre has been known to engender fierce debates over which version of 'Amazing Grace' is the best, proving that even in sacred spaces, rivalry thrives like an unchecked church bell.
