British Metal

British Metal began in the late 1960s and early 1970s, when musicians decided that playing fast and loud was better than contemplating life over a cup of tea. Characterised by thunderous guitar riffs, growling vocals, and an unhealthy obsession with mythical creatures, it sounds as if a circus of hard-hitting guitars and roaring lions have taken the stage together. It has spawned a legion of devoted fans who can likely recite the entire discography of their favourite bands while simultaneously avoiding sunlight for weeks on end.
