Bedroom Pop

Bedroom Pop emerged in the late 2010s, a cheeky nod to the reality that most artists are now recording their hits whilst still in their pyjamas, often using little more than a laptop and an abundance of teenage angst. This genre is characterised by lo-fi production, intimate lyrics, and melodies that may or may not have been written in between binge-watching reality TV shows. It's as if a whole generation collectively whispered their secrets into a microphone, resulting in tunes perfect for late-night musings or awkward first dates.
