Bagrock

Bagrock, a cheeky concoction of bagpipes and rock music, emerged in Scotland in the 1990s, proving that if you're going to rock, you might as well do it whilst donning a kilt. It typically features traditional Scottish bagpipes layered over electric guitars and drums, resulting in a sound that is both exhilarating and slightly baffling, especially when it's all happening at a ceilidh. This genre is a reminder that no matter how serious the music scene gets, there's always room for a devil-may-care jam with a side of haggis.
