Neumann U 47

Microphone by Neumann

The Neumann U 47 is a large-diaphragm tube condenser microphone made by Berlin manufacturer Neumann from 1949 to 1965. It pairs an M7 capsule with a Telefunken VF14 tube and switchable cardioid and omnidirectional patterns, and its warm midrange made it the favourite vocal mic at studios like Abbey Road and Capitol.
