The NS-2 is a noise suppressor pedal manufactured by Boss and released in 1987. It shaped noise control in rock, metal, punk and shoegaze, was used by touring guitarists and studio producers to tighten high-gain rigs, and helped create the gated, low-noise guitar tones common in 1990s alternative and metal.
