György Szabados

György Szabados was a Hungarian jazz pianist and composer who began his career in the 1960s and was associated with avant-garde and free jazz movements. He drew on Hungarian folk and contemporary classical elements to merge modal melodies, extended improvisation and experimental textures, helping to articulate a distinct Hungarian avant-garde jazz idiom and link improvised music with national musical traditions.
