Wally Shoup is an American saxophonist and improviser who emerged in the 1970s and is associated with free jazz and experimental improvised music, notably within the Seattle scene. He specialises in free improvisation, employing extended saxophone techniques, electronics and collaborative projects with percussionists and dancers to explore textural, rhythmic and electro-acoustic approaches that have contributed to the development of improvised music in the Pacific Northwest.
