Orchestra 2001 is an American contemporary music ensemble formed in Philadelphia in 1988 that specialises in contemporary classical and experimental repertoire. Focusing on commissioning new works and cross-genre collaborations, it performs programmes that explore avant-garde, electronic and improvisatory techniques, situating the ensemble within the US new-music and experimental-music communities.
