Joe Newman

Joe Newman is an English singer-songwriter from Southend-on-Sea who emerged as the lead singer of the indie rock band alt-J, a group formed in Leeds in 2007. His music blends falsetto-led vocals with angular guitar lines, electronic textures and art-pop structures, often incorporating literary and historical references into its lyrical themes.
