André and Orchestra Kostelanetz

André Kostelanetz and His Orchestra were a light-music orchestra fronted by Russian-born André Kostelanetz after his emigration to the United States, beginning public broadcasts and commercial recordings in the 1930s and remaining active through the mid-20th century. They specialised in orchestral arrangements that adapted classical and popular melodies into an accessible, easy-listening repertoire, evolving from radio and studio work into recordings that helped bridge classical music and American popular culture.
