Ole Schmidt

Ole Schmidt was a Danish composer and conductor born in Copenhagen in 1928 who began his career in the 1950s working in classical and contemporary orchestral music. His output and programming combined neoclassical and modernist elements centred on orchestral works and concertos, and his conducting promoted contemporary Scandinavian repertoire across Danish and European ensembles.
