Beat Furrer

Beat Furrer is a Swiss-born composer and conductor who established his career in Austria in the late 1970s and is associated with contemporary classical and experimental music. His work explores extended vocal and instrumental techniques and combines intricate textures with theatrical elements, moving between chamber pieces and staged or operatic projects within the contemporary classical sphere.
