Ensemble Modern Orchestra is a Frankfurt-based contemporary chamber ensemble formed in 1980 that specialises in contemporary classical and new music. Their work centres on commissioning and performing music by living composers, ranging from experimental and avant-garde pieces to cross-genre collaborations, and their activities have been part of contemporary music programming in Europe and internationally.
