Ludacris is an American rapper and actor from Champaign, Illinois, who began his music career in the mid-1990s and established a presence in Southern hip hop after relocating to Atlanta, Georgia. His musical style combines Southern hip hop rhythms with rapid-fire, humour-inflected delivery and narrative storytelling, and over the course of his career he expanded into acting and commercial ventures, contributing to the wider visibility of Atlanta's hip hop culture.
