Sergio Vartolo

Sergio Vartolo is an Italian harpsichordist, organist, conductor and musicologist who began his career in the late 20th century, specialising in early music and Baroque repertoire. He concentrates on historically informed performance practice, combining keyboard performance with conducting and the preparation of scholarly editions of 17th- and 18th-century opera and sacred works, and has been active in European early-music circles.
