Nomeansno are a Canadian band formed in Victoria, British Columbia, in 1979 who became associated with punk and post-punk styles and later relocated to Vancouver. Their music combines angular guitar work, complex rhythms and elements of jazz and progressive rock, and over the course of their career they moved from raw hardcore roots toward more experimental and rhythmically varied compositions that influenced the underground punk and post-hardcore scenes.
