Jan Lundgren

Jan Lundgren is a Swedish jazz pianist and composer from Ystad who began his professional recording and performing career in the 1990s, working primarily in acoustic jazz contexts. His music spans straight-ahead and modern jazz, combining Scandinavian melodic sensibilities with bebop and swing influences, and he has led piano trios and a range of collaborative ensembles that explore standards, originals and chamber-jazz arrangements.
