Manfred Schoof

Manfred Schoof is a German jazz trumpeter from Duisburg who began his professional career in the late 1950s and became associated with jazz, free jazz and avant-garde music. He moved from bebop and modern jazz into freer, experimental forms in the 1960s and 1970s, participating in large ensemble projects and collaborations across Europe and later working as a composer and educator.
