Frederick Loewe
Frederick Loewe was an Austrian-born composer who emigrated to the United States in the 1920s and established a career composing for film and later for Broadway musical theatre. His melodic, lyric-driven writing blended elements of classical, popular and operetta traditions and helped shape the mid-20th-century development of American musical theatre.
