Busch Quartet

The Busch Quartet was a German string quartet formed in 1919 that became active in chamber music performance and recording, specialising in classical and Romantic repertoire. Their performance style emphasised clarity of texture and disciplined ensemble playing, and after relocating from Europe to North America in the 1930s they helped disseminate German‑Austrian quartet repertoire through concerts and recordings.
