Mike Bloomfield
Mike Bloomfield was an American blues-rock guitarist from Chicago who began his career in the early 1960s, emerging from the city's electric blues scene. His fluid, improvisational playing and use of extended solos helped bridge Chicago blues and rock, leading to extensive studio work, national touring and later solo instrumental projects while he remained active as a session musician.
