Phill Niblock

Phill Niblock is an American composer and filmmaker who began working in the 1960s and is associated with experimental, minimalist and drone music, with much of his career centred in New York. His work emphasises long-duration pieces built from dense, microtonal and interference-based textures created by layering sustained tones and field recordings, and is frequently presented in gallery and concert contexts within experimental music scenes.
