Hiromi Uehara

上原ひろみ is a Japanese jazz pianist and composer from Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, who launched her professional career after studies in Japan and the United States and is associated with contemporary jazz and jazz fusion. Her music features advanced piano technique and improvisation with influences from rock, classical and funk, developing across solo recordings and collaborative ensembles that explore composition-driven and improvisatory forms within an international jazz context.
