Antoine Brumel

Antoine Brumel was a French Renaissance composer active from the late 15th century into the early 16th century, associated with the Franco-Flemish school of polyphony. His output of masses, motets and chansons is characterised by dense polyphony, frequent use of cantus firmus and occasional large-scale vocal forces, reflecting the transition and stylistic developments in sacred and secular music across France and Italy.
