Heinrich Scheidemann

Heinrich Scheidemann was a German organist and composer of the early Baroque period, active in the first half of the 17th century. Associated with the North German organ school, his surviving works largely consist of elaborate chorale settings, fantasias and variations that exhibit advances in organ technique and contrapuntal writing and influenced subsequent German organ practice.
