Alabaster dePlume is a British saxophonist, spoken-word poet and bandleader from Birmingham who began releasing music and performing with improvised ensembles in the 2010s, working at the intersection of jazz, experimental and spoken-word traditions. His work blends free-jazz improvisation, conversational poetry and composed songcraft, often recorded in collaborative, improvisatory sessions that emphasise spontaneity and community-focused themes while later projects incorporated more structured songwriting and arrangements.
