Marie Jaëll
Marie Jaëll was a French classical pianist, composer and pedagogue who was active from the mid-19th century within the Romantic tradition. Her work combined Romantic compositional idioms with a systematic study of piano technique and tactile physiology, producing pedagogical writings and piano pieces intended to connect bodily technique with expressive aims.
