Luis de Narváez

Luis de Narváez was a Spanish Renaissance composer and vihuelist active in the first half of the 16th century. He specialised in vihuela repertoire—particularly fantasias and instrumental variations (diferencias)—and his 1538 collection Los seys libros del delphín de música includes arrangements that reflect the integration of vocal polyphony into solo instrumental music during the Spanish Renaissance.
