Bernardo Pasquini was an Italian Baroque composer and keyboardist active in Rome and other Italian centres from the mid-17th to the early 18th century. His output encompassed keyboard pieces, operas, cantatas and sacred music, with a style that paired virtuosic keyboard writing and expressive vocal lines and played a role in the development of Italian keyboard and vocal practices.
