Faron Young

Faron Young was an American country singer from Shreveport, Louisiana, who began his professional career in the early 1950s and worked primarily in country, honky-tonk and rockabilly styles. His energetic honky-tonk delivery later incorporated elements of the smoother Nashville sound, his repertoire ranged from uptempo, rockabilly-tinged numbers to ballads, and he was active in mid-20th-century country music and the honky-tonk tradition.
