Rhian Samuel

Rhian Samuel is a Welsh composer and academic who began her professional career in the late 20th century and works primarily in contemporary classical music. Her output spans orchestral, choral, chamber and vocal music, often drawing on modal and tonal resources and on literary and historical subjects, and she has combined composition with teaching and writing to engage with the British contemporary classical scene.
