Pēteris Plakidis

Pēteris Plakidis was a Latvian composer and pianist from Riga who began his career in the late 20th century and worked primarily in classical and contemporary classical music. His output blended Latvian folk-inflected lyricism with modernist techniques across orchestral, chamber and choral forms, evolving towards a focus on textural clarity and contributing to the development of Latvia's late 20th-century classical repertoire.
