Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real are an American rock and country band formed in 2008 in California, combining elements of country, rock, roots and Americana. Their music blends roots-rock arrangements, country songwriting and improvisational jam elements, and across albums and tours the band has shifted between traditional country-tinged material and more expansive, guitar-driven rock while partnering with established artists from the rock and folk scenes.
