Okay Temiz

Okay Temiz is a Turkish percussionist and bandleader from Istanbul who began his career in the 1960s and is associated with jazz, world music and fusion. His work blends Anatolian folk rhythms with jazz improvisation and incorporates Afro‑Cuban and African percussion traditions and experimental textures, contributing to cross‑cultural jazz and world music developments in Europe and Turkey.
