Jean‐Louis Barrault
Jean‑Louis Barrault was a French actor, mime and theatre director, born in Le Vésinet in 1910 who began his career in the 1930s working in stage and film productions. His work combined physical, mime-influenced acting with innovative staging and direction, and he led theatrical companies that explored modern performance techniques and the relationship between movement and dramatic narrative in mid-20th-century France.
