Maurice Greene
Maurice Greene was an English composer and organist born in London in 1696 who established his career in the early 18th century composing sacred choral music and theatrical works. His music combined Baroque idioms with English cathedral traditions, producing oratorios, anthems and organ pieces that contributed to the repertoire of Georgian-era church music.
