Brian Chase is an American drummer who came to prominence as a member of the New York City indie rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs, which formed in New York in 2000 and emerged from the city's early-2000s garage and art-scene circuits. Alongside his work in indie rock he has pursued solo and collaborative projects that explore experimental, improvisational and electronic approaches to percussion, drawing on avant-garde and global rhythmic traditions.
