Mari Kimura

Mari Kimura is a Japanese violinist, composer and researcher who moved to New York and has been active since the late 20th century in contemporary classical and electronic music. Her work combines extended violin techniques, notably subharmonics, with live electronics and gesture-controlled interactive systems, bridging acoustic performance and computer-mediated composition.
