Franco Donatoni

Franco Donatoni (1927–2000) was an Italian composer who began his career in the mid-20th century and worked primarily in contemporary classical and avant-garde music. His work moved from early serialist explorations to a later focus on rhythmic complexity, fragmented motifs and timbral experimentation, and he was active in composition and teaching within the Italian contemporary music scene.
