Catherine Hewgill is an Australian classical cellist who began her professional career in the late 20th century and has worked across orchestral, chamber and solo contexts. Her repertoire encompasses the standard cello canon as well as contemporary Australian compositions, and her career has combined performance with teaching and involvement in community music initiatives.
