Plaid

Plaid are an English electronic music duo formed in London in the early 1990s, emerging from the UK techno and rave scenes and associated with IDM and ambient electronica. Their output moved from club-oriented techno towards intricate, melody-driven compositions that feature ambient textures, unconventional rhythms and frequent collaborations and soundtrack work, placing them within the broader IDM and experimental electronic context.
